There is always a certain amount of risk associated with using, storing, and reacting chemicals. The risk can be associated with our health, safety, security, and/or environmental well-being. Having a management plan for handling chemicals from “cradle to grave” is the best way to minimize the risk. This workshop will include chemists from several countries to describe how they manage chemicals in a safe and secure way and will provide insight into how to manage your own laboratory safely and securely, fostering a culture of safety in an environmentally conscious manner.
